What: Off Road Run Challenge for Joggers and Runners of all abilities (With 1 and 2 lap options)
Where: In grounds of Clonkeeran House, near Johnstown-Bridge, Co Kildare (Just off old N4/M4 aoorox 25 mins drive from jct 7 of M50)
When: Saturday 13th March 2010 at 11am
Why: A new fun run challenge to be "enjoyed" by those with good running fitness but equally those looking for a personal Challenge - This is not a regular road or conventional cross country run be assured with many fun obstacles along the route Laughing

 Charity: All proceeds from the inaugral Runamuck Challenge will go to charity.The Niall Mellon Township Trust will be the beneficiary from this inaugral event as chosen by our event host Louis Robinson on who's farm the event will take place.

Entries are now closed and no further changes to categories are allowed thanks!

Final Instructions will be sent to all registered entrants on Wednesday 10th March.

 Final Entry is over 750 which will make for a great spectacle on Saturday spread over the 1 and 2 lap events which will start 15 minutes apart - The 2 lap Solo and Team Event will start at 11.00 and the 1 lap version at 11.15

Hopefully many will come ready to race in their Club, County and Fancy Dress attire Cool

Registration will be open from 9am and hot drinks / snacks will be available at reasonable cost from the "Brew Crew" on site.

You are requested to Car Pool where possible from Car Park in the Hamlet Court Hotel in Johnstownbridge to minimise the number of cars to be parked in the fields. It is approx 6km from the Hotel to the Race Venue

The recent lovely dry weather might mean some parts of the course will be a little dryer than expected but we have some contingency watering planned to ensure you get the muck you crave unless the heavens open during the week which looks unlikely Cry

The final course lap length will be approx 4.5km and the projected lap times are 25+ mins for fast runners and 50+ for slow runners is still applicable

All marshalls will be kept fed and watered with snacks during the morning, and will get a collectors item tee shirt and a good lunch in the Hamlet Hotel when the event is finished.

Welcome to Runamuck - Ireland's newest, muckiest and most fun cross country running event

The Runamuck Challenge is a cross country running event over a wet and mucky course with various man made and natural obstacles including bale "jumps", net scrambles, , ditchs, streams, tyres and tunnels designed to test your mental and physical strength, and to leave you with a great sense of achievement and a big grin on your face

It can be competed in as Solo, as a Relay Pair (Durty Duo) or as a Team of any number of 3 or more on either the 1 lap Muckers or 2 lap Serious Muckers Courses. 

1 lap is about 4.5km and is expected to take between 25 and 50 minutes to complete.
